My Story
Welcome to Perfectly Special Gifts & Design
I’ve learned that life’s plot twists are best handled with creativity, caffeine, and a touch of well-placed sarcasm.
Perfectly Special Gifts & Design started in my home office—born from a mix of necessity, creativity, and that ever-familiar "what now?" moment. After 22 years as a full-time homemaker and caregiver, I found myself navigating the unexpected: how to re-enter the workforce while still raising three incredible sons—my firstborn, who is autistic and the inspiration behind this brand’s heart, name, and logo, and his two equally amazing brothers who have always cheered me on in different ways (and occasionally asked if dinner is ready).
This business began with a single goal: to create something of my own that honored who I was, who I am, and who I’m becoming. And, in true mom fashion, I built it between doctor appointments, school and ISP adult services meetings, college tours, housekeeping, dinner, and trying to remember if I had coffee that day… or just thought about it.
Now, I use my skills in custom design, print production, and graphic illustration to help multitaskers, caregivers, and small business owners bring their ideas to life. Whether it’s a mug that captures your mood, a t-shirt that speaks fluent sarcasm, or a bulk order of promotional gear for your next event—I’ve got you covered.
The logo? That’s one of my sons—soundproof headphones on, smiling wide. He reminds me daily that different isn’t less, and that inclusion isn’t optional. It’s why this business exists not only to serve you, but to one day offer meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with autism—because everyone deserves a chance to thrive creatively.
This isn’t just a shop. It’s a space where humor meets heart, where your stories matter, and where life’s quirks are celebrated—not silenced. Because if you can find the humor in anything, even an unexpected life pivot, you can survive it. Maybe even 10x it.
